Oh man, my brother did this...big mistake! It did not work at all! I had to go with him because the Cricket account is in my name, what a pain! Cricket said it wasn't compatible. So, he bought another one from EBay and we went to Cricket again. This time they said the phone was either stolen or was being used as cell phone insurance fraud. They said someone probably reported their phone being stolen or lost to the insurance so Cricket would send them another phone, then this person would sell it on EBay to make a little extra cash. Cricket demanded my brother give them the phone so they could turn it it. My brother refused because he wanted to try and get his money back from this jerk. Cricket was pissed. My brother wasted more money buying these phones from EBay, when he could have just got a brand new one from the Cricket store.
Bottom line....no good! Do not buy a phone online to use for Cricket. Best thing to do is just buy brand new.
