Hey guys....this FIFA World Cup just destroys our world....instead of wasting money and time on watching football, we can save the world from futher destruction. People in Jakarta, Indonesia are suffering since the earthquake struck JAVA. Help these people. Don't pollute the world with noise pollution and air pollution because it just destroys us! I hope everybody in Germany will learn from this and stop football once and for all........what is so great about the world cup anyway? the best answer will win my respect and extra-points!

It reunites the world. Economical and social differences are forgotten.It brings people toguether and a time when the world is more seperated than united. Football is the sport of the people, and no other sport brings people toguether. As Mr Blatter would say "President of Fifa" "Our goal is to reunite the world in peace and in sportsmanship.

OK, maybe not the 2006 WC but some of the previous ones were danged exciting. It brings people together and connects the world in a way the U.N. or any other organization or event cannot.
Now if "football" was stopped overnight, what makes you think suddenly the fans will go, "Ya know, now I want to save the Javanese"?
Are you for real? Do schools churn out these kind of naive idealists still? If so, there's your answer why not enough people help out the Javanese.
As far as air pollution, it's a helluva lot better than in the '70s.
Noise pollution--you got a cell phone? Toss it away, please. That will help cut down on the noise pollution that drives me nuts.

Shut your mouth up!! People in Jakarta are fine.. they also enjoy The FIFA WC2006 very much, there are a lot of Pubs and Cafes spread around that mega city..people gathers there to watch the match in their giant screen tv's..(hey..i've been there a couples of time. Have U??). The earthquake happened in Jogjakarta, Indonesia, it's about 700 miles away from Jakarta! And the Indonesian, especially Jogjakarta's people has already recovered from that tragedy. I knew this becoz i have a few good Indonesian friends over there. For your information, Indonesian people really loves football as much as most people in this planet!! maybe, u are an exceptional..
The FIFA World Cup it's the greatest event to keep our world in Peace!! You gotta know that for sure...

So if your asking to stop soccer...then you have to ask to stop ALL sports throughout the world...in all countries. This is not a solution to stop wasting money and time. Stop driving cars, that pollutes, airplanes, trains, motorcycles, etc....
You are saying ONE sport destroys the world...do you have any understanding of the world and how our governments work together. The US gives so much to other countries and put the United States in a deficits.
So what sport do your religiously watch...do you watch the Olympics, NFL, Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Tennis, Hockey, Boxing, etc....?

No, its not a waste of time i enjoy supporting teams that i support an sending money on shirts thats rep the teams i luv is worth it. I mean i luv the countrys i support an u know what it worth yelling my *** off an showing how much i luv soccer. This years world cup was exciting an had some surprising moments lik some teams i wondered how the heck they got dat far. But it was exciting an i respect the teams that came far an sometimes suck lik Urkaine how they get dat far? lol anywayz thats all i got to say.

It's not possible as ppl are selfish. You can't force people to do something thery don't want to. I mean it would be great if there was no poverty or diseases but it's all in our heads. This is how life is made. I wqould love to help but one person alone can't do it and everyone else in the world won't do it.
