on my other computer when i try to go to the start menu all i get is the hour glass and i can't click anything on the whole start menu. i have windows xp pro. and i am also having trouble getting on the net. i have cable connection and everything looks good with the connection but i cant get on net. anyone able to help?

Your computer may have a virus that is eating up your processor speed. Run a full system scan to find any problems. If that's not it, try looking at the CPU or the motherboard. When my computer doesn't work, that's usually the problem. Your computer might be just old and slow. Or you could go to a professional at a computer store like Fry's or PC World to check it out.
