There are only two players ever in the nba who have ever had rookie of the year and mvp in the same year. they are: Wes Unseld: NBA Rookie of the Year following a 13.8 ppg, 18.2 rpg debut (1969),NBA MVP (1969), All-NBA First Team (1960).....the other player to do this was The Late Great Wilt Chamberlin NBA Rookie of the Year (1960),
NBA Most Valuable Player (1960), All-NBA First Team (1969)
So the youngest to do it was Unsled at 23 years old Wilt Accomplished the same task at the age of 24
