I love all the mythical creatures - unicorns and fairies and dragons. I don't believe in them though.
As for my favorite myth, if I belived in it I wouldn't call it a myth.
So my favorite myth that I can still call as such - I absolutely love the one with the minatour at the centre of the labrinth. Especially makes them more interesting with novels like Sarah Douglas's Troy Game series.

It's a story about a zen monk.
A hermit was meditating by a river when a young man interrupted him. "Master, I wish to become your disciple," said the man. "Why?" replied the hermit. The young man thought for a moment. "Because I want to find God."
The master jumped up, grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, dragged him into the river, and plunged his head under water. After holding him there for a minute, with him kicking and struggling to free himself, the master finally pulled him up out of the river. The young man coughed up water and gasped to get his breath. When he eventually quieted down, the master spoke. "Tell me, what did you want most of all when you were under water."
"Air!" answered the man.
"Very well," said the master. "Go home and come back to me when you want God as much as you just wanted air."
I believe all myths are true. Myth has much wider shoulders than Facts, because it carries a larger burden of Truth. I do not, however, believe in the actuality of most myths. They contain important truths we need to learn about, so whether or not they "really" happened is irrelevant.

My favorite myth would have to be "its bad luck if you cross the pole" like when 2 friends are walking and one goes on one side of a pole and the other goes on the other".. everytime that happens, i have to walk back and go on the same side as them

My favorite myth is that one about the son of god, born of a virgin, who goes around teaching love & compassion and performing miracles and then dying on a cross as a means of salvation for all of mankind, amen. Of course I don't believe in it- but it's a nice story.
Jesus can't save you- but it's nice to think he tried.

Not sure what I would list as a Favorite although I do love the Shinto story of Creation even though I don't believe in their version (I believe in the Judeo-Christian version) but I love the Shinto version anyways.

The monomyth of the hero. This is the great archetype that appears is all religions. Jesus, Moses, Buddha, Mohammed and Krishna are all heroes. The hero continues to appear in Literature and film --Frodo, Luke Skywalker and Huck Finn.
Of course I believe it. It is the eternal story of the journey of each of our lives.

My fav is the whole, witches worshipping the devil thing. It's funny to me because, most people don't take the time to research that witches don't worship the devil, in fact, they don't even believe in him. I laugh at people that think they do because it shows how stubborn they are, they think that their religion is the only true religion, and that all of the others worship bad things, and to you people that believe that, go to hell, do the research, ask a witch, most satanists don't even worship satan, they use him as a symbol and they worship themselves.
