Mexico has never won the World Cup, but they've won the sub-17 World Cup which accounts for something. Just imagine, that in the next World Cup or maybe the next one, Mexico could have a chance at winning the World Cup......just a thought!!!!

In 1994. This year they won the under 17 competition, so they should have a good chance of winning again in the next couple of years.

*Additional note: Mexico hosted, but did not win, the world cup tournament in 1970 and 1986... just figured I should clear that up.

never. The closest they came to it was in 1970 and 1986 (Mexico) reaching quarterfinals.

Being eliminated by Italy (1970) in Toluca- Italy lost the final vs Brasil- and in 1986 they lost to Germany in Monterrey -Germany lost the final to Argentina-

No and they never will if their federation (FEMEXFUT) and the club owners keep on getting foreigners to play instead of their own homegrown players. All the key positions are filled with foreigners.

Tragically, sadly, disastrously, heart-breakingly, lacklusterly, infamously, frustratingly...no.
