I would like peoples opinions of the Vmax. I may buy a 2003 with 4000 miles on it. Any thoughts?

The selling price is 7995.00 firm. The bike is mint though. Is that a decent price?

I have enough experience. They don't go that good anyways. Top end is only about 130-135.

go for it! i have a 2001 and it's by far the best bike i ever had. i paid just over 7000 new. only mechanical problem is hot start but i just let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes to cool down and it's good to go. i really should check that out though.

I had a 1993 Vmax that had $3500 in engine work when new to boost HP. Different cam, larger polished carbs and Vance Hines exhaust. The bike sounded like a small block with headers.
I bought it with around 3500 miles on it from a friend that needed money.
I loved that bike but someone made me the right offer so I sold it.
It now had 10,000 miles and he offered $2000 more than I paid.
He had it 2 weeks and wrecked it.

It is an awesome bike but definitely not for the inexperienced.

Price is comparable to what others are asking on cycle trader.

They were real quick in the day but 1984 FZR 1000 has faster acceleration, top speed and handles. BUT...V-Max with some mods, 210 bhp, it still wont go round corners, doesnt like anything but billiard table smooth and is insane fun.
