A player is in an "offside position" when there is fewer than two defenders between that player and the goal.
A player is offside when 1) he is in an offside position (see above) and 2) the ball is passed in his direction.
Note, a player may receive a pass while in a offside position without being offsided if that player was "onside" when the ball was struck to start the pass. In other words, one the passer strikes the ball the forward is free to run like heck.
Also if a player is not involved in the play, say down in the left corner, when the ball is played to the other side, then they are not considered offside even though they may be in an offside position.

when a player on offense is infront of every defensive player, except the golie, b4 a pass. after the pass, it's leagal, or if the pass is made in front off all but the golie.

as soon as the passing player kicks the ball (pass it), the receiving player can run through the defenders
this happens very often when they beat the offside trap

an off-side is were a player passes the ball to another player that is past all the deffenders and it is only him and the goaly. that is an off-side.
