He BARELY won. Only half are stupid. I still swear his brother or cousin or whatever rigged the elections in Florida.

Where do you think the saying, history repeats itself, came from? America was still mad at Bill Clinton for his mistake with Monica which was totally blown out of proportion. The judicious religious groups condemned Clinton just like the Jews called for the crucifixtion of Christ. When the second election came around they did it again and now they have to go the limit with this guy whether they like it or not. This is how society runs these days and we still call it a democracy. When the head of a company like Enron goes the way it did they can the CEO and the othe CFO and so on. In a democracy we wait it out and kill time or soldiers and a surplus. What is even worse there will be responders to my thinking here saying that is the way we do things in America. Wow!

You make me sad. Most people that I know don't so much vote for a person, but an ideology. Conservatives and Republicans in general, feel that federal government should be limited in scope to things like defense, infrastructure, law enforcement, foreign relations and some regulation of business and standards. Leaving social and economic issues to local governments and private enterprises.

Liberals and Democrats in general, feel that federal government should oversee, regulate and pay for almost everything under the sun.

Therefore, it is really ideological differences, not personalities that most people vote for. I can see from your vague question that you probably went to public schools and your parents didn't bother to educate you growing up. It also seems clear that you haven't bothered to educate yourself as to the basics of U.S. politics, since you think that elections are based solely on individual personalities.

Approval ratings: Don't you realize that the reason Bush's poll ratings are so low because a portion of the people that voted for Bush feel he is not being conservative enough. So, you are saying that people are dumb for electing him, AND you agree with those dumb people who now do not approve of what he is doing. Does that make you dumb by association? Or does it mean that dumb people have suddenly become not dumb?

I'm not sure that you are really qualified to label anyone as being "dumb."

"Dumb" is the word that you use from your point of view. And it's only one point of view, there are many others and by making the statement, "Why would americans be so dumb as to elect a stupid man twice" that is creating a universal statement wich is impossible to make. Just because that's what you think doesn't give you any right whatsoever to belittle others because of their opinions, this is America, it's a free country, we have free speech, we are allowed to think whatever we want, and you, or even the President for that matter, don't have the right to tell us we're dumb and vice versa.

So, just get a grip, believe what you will, and leave the rest of us the heck alone.

American's did not elect this president. In 2000, the recount in Florida showed that Gore won, but Bush had already been installed as president by the Supreme Court that was largely appointed by Bush's father and Reagan while Bush's father was VP. In 2004, it came down to Ohio, which the owner of one of the voting machine companies (who is the brother of the other major voting machine company...both companies of which refused to let the machines be checked for fraud)...the owner of Diebold...promised Bush during a fund raiser that he would guarantee him the victory in Ohio.

This president is a fraud and was never elected by the people of this country. He is an usurper and a tyrant. Period.

Okay, I'm American and I never vote Republican. Never have, never will.

To group all of us and say we're all dumb for voting for him is a gross overgeneralization. He STOLE the first election with the help of his cousin in Florida. After that, he kept using scare tactics to keep Americans thinking that just around the corner, we're gonna get blasted again. He scared people into being on his side. That's why the ones who voted for him did it agian.

DUMB MISTAKE!

You know, I was saying, "I wish I could vote for Clinton again." And after the election, I said, "Well, the good thing is that he can't run for president again in the next election."

Btw, even if you're not American, you do have the right to criticize American politics and American politicians. We all have this right, whether it's about our own leaders or foreign ones. Just be careful to not insult Americans when you do it, you wouldn't like it done to you.

Some people in here are saying Clinton was stupid. Hmmm.. do you folks have a college degree? How about a GED? All you read is a bible, what would you know about intelligence? Who gave you a computer anyways?

BTW, for the asker, I don't think Bush is really dumb although most of his followers are. He can't speak and has poor knowledge of most everything but he sure knows how to scare these chicken **** repuglicunts with the story of a bogeyman.

Because of the following
1) Kerry was an equal moron
2) Nader didn't have any party supporting him
3) Because the "right" used fear tactics to scare voters into electing "Furious George" into office a second time.
4) Because people have gotten the idea from talk-radio pundits that left=bad.

That is all.

Bush is to blame for everything.

He blew up the levees in New Orleans, destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, and started the Civil War and the War of the Roses, and is now training alligators in Florida to attack black people.

It is his desire to end the world. I know for a fact that on June 28, 2008, at precisely 22:00:00 Bush is going to launch a nuclear attack on San Francisco, in the hopes that California will finally vote for a Republican President. After that, he will retire to his ranch in Texas, where he will finally meet with Cindy Sheehan, and she will conceive his love child. When he finally dies, he will join Louie Farrakan and Elijah Mohommed in their spaceship that is circling the earth.

The problem with the election is neither candidate separated themselves as a exceptional choice. Bush appealed to the Conservative vote. He appealed to the older vote as well. Old people vote. Young people do not. As for the approval rating, peoples minds have a miraculous abitlity to change.

People as a whole are stupid first off.

Secondly, I didn't vote for Bush, and in all honesty, we would have been screwed no matter who won the election. The candidates were both incapable of doing the job.
