i think humans beings have been abusing alot of things since the beginning of time , and weed is one of them . for u dumb people some one needs to do the think for u . trust me its not worth it ,dont abuse it use it

The legality of pot is somewhat complex. There are a number of different reasons for its being banned in the united states. Racism (not a modern reason, but a historical one) and concern over mind altering substances are the two major ones that come to mind.
The correct answer is NOT that you can grow it on your own.
After all, you can grow tobacco too.
There's no economic reasoning behind the ban on pot.

The only reason pot is illegal is bcause the government has no way to impose a tax on it, tobacco is very hard to grow and dry, while pot you can grow in your basement.

there are a lot of natural things that are not good for you. Poison ivey is all natural, would you put it into your body?
For the record, I don't think it should be illegal. I'm just making the point about 'all natural'.

Just because it is natural doesn't mean it is good for you.
Here's a short list of natural poisons: hemlock, curare, nightshade.
Those are just the examples that I thought of right away.
The "natural" argument just doesn't hold up. Just because something exists you should smoke it? It doesn't make sense.
