Weight A=4 pts. B=3 pts. C=2 pts. D=1 pts. E= 0 pts. Multiply the total no. of credits for which you received an A by 4 to get sum A. Multiply the total no. of credits for which you received a B, to get sum B, and so on for C and D grades (no matter how many credits of E grades you received, the result will still be 0). Add up the total of sum A,B,C and D. Then divide this total by the total number of credits. That should be your GPA.

multiply the grades with the number of credits in each course and sum them all and thn divide the sum with the total number of credits

add your gpa's and divide by the number of semesters...that is your average (cumulative)
