Yep. If I need an old-school pro-wrestling fix, I will tune in to HWA on that Total Sports Network (a satellite sports channel that occasionally comes in on my rabbit-ears antenna for some messed up reason). The production values make old-school *original* ECW look over-polished and prissy, but the talent in the ring is first rate and generally young and healthy enough to *take risks* and work for their money....http://www.hwaonline.com/

And if you want something totally different, do a search on "Kaiju Big Battel". *lol* Yes, that is spelled correctly, it is ultra-cheesy Japanese monster-movie style wrestling, rubber suits and all. And it *rocks* way harder than it has any right to. :D
So....what would I do, if I had the chance to do it differently? **evil grins**
Hmm....well, not that my idea would ever *ever* work, it is too weird, but...imagine women athletes dressed up like cute anime characters, doing your typical anime or manga type storylines outside the ring, while inside, what you get is more or less a hybrid of *trampoline wrestling*--a low-impact version of that high-flyer stuff--and full-contact kickboxing....
In other words, something a lot less grabby/throwy, and a lot more kicky/punchy....also the main direction of movement would be *up and down* and not side to side. :D I could see it working, especially with the right kinds of outfits and *ahem* fan-service.
But nah, I'm too poor and too weird to make it fly. :p

I getting bored with it too. They need to fire Johnny Ace, Stephanie Mcmahon and the other creative team writers who know **** about wrestling. I wish somebody had a Vince Russo mindo minus the stupid crap he put on in WCW.

definately, the storylines r crap now. it's all entertainment and no wrestling. plus, there r a million more promos and hardly any matches!
