That depends on the size (population) of the high school and how many athletic teams there are and how many cheerleaders the school district can support. Cheerleading is considered a sport in itself, and is usually supported by the school's athletic department. They are like a team.
For a small high school, cheerleaders, for the autumn sports season (like football), will cheer for the football team. Then in the winter, the cheerleaders cheer for the winter sports teams - like basketball, hockey, wrestling. For larger high schools (population), there could be several squads of cheerleaders that rotate cheering for different winter sports. Sometimes there are different cheerleader squads for fall and winter, again depending on the population of the high school.

it really depends. i know my high school has girls with round off back handsprings. some with round off tucks and some with layouts and fulls. really depends. jv is basically only backhandsprings. maybe 1 or 2 tucks. standing tumbling for varsity is standing tuck. backhandspring(s) to a tuck or layout and jumps to backhandspring (maybe even a tuck)
