Sure you can. We all have different beliefs. That doesn't make them unacceptable. We must have differences or we would all be the same....right. As for respect that must be earned

You can respect a person and disagree with them. That is common. You can just agree to disagree and find positive things you like about them. Everyone is different.
yes--you also can agree with someone on their views but not respect them for other reasons. That is very normal as well.

i suppose so. there are those who i respect overall because of some major things they've done, but i acknowledge their minor flaws, and areas where i disagree with them. Yet i think the one person you absolutely respect the most has to be one you have more agreement with. afterall choosing to respect someone is still grading them against others who you also respect. it's all biased.

Yes you can respect someone but not agree with something they say....You can respect thier opinion and they should be able to respect yours
