It sounds like your starter cylinoid is stuck or bad. Replace it

since you have a new battery it sounds like the solenoid,or starter. when it comes to electrical problems its hard to say. once I had a new Sears battery put in. it didn't work so I replaced every thing else electrical.come to find out the NEW battery had a short. like most of every one is saying 1 make sure cables are clean and tight 2 you can jump across solenoid with a screwdriver to test it 3 take starter off and have local parts house check it. if all of this is good it could be ign. switch or wiring which if you are not a good mech. do not attempt.

The click is the ignition solenoid, power going to the starter. The starter may not be getting sufficient juice to turn it, or the starter motor is bad. First thing to check is power connections: are the battery cables clean and free of corrosion? Boost the car (with heavy cables and a relatively powerful source, like a large car or SUV) by connecting the (-) black cable to any unpainted metal surface under the hood and connect the (+) red cable to the auxiliary red terminal (most moder cars have one under a red plastic cap on one of the fender liners). If the car starts, have the battery, cables and terminals checked out. If it doesn't, you may just have dead battery or a bad starter.

Fuel pump could be out. Do you hear anything besides a click? You should hear something other than just a click. The pump makes a short mechanical like sound right after you turn the key over for about 5 seconds and then turns off.

Your terminals might be loose or dirty. Clean them with steel wool and make sure they are very tight. If the car starts with a jump and dies within minutes it may be the alternator. If it has been hard to start for a while and it stopped starting all together it may be the starter is bad. It is a case where your car needs to be seen by a knowledgeable person, but if this helps and I saved you money you are definitely welcome (-:

Definitely...the starter. UNLESS, and this isn't likely....the cable connectors are corroded and not actually getting a good connection to your battery. Unlikely, but possible. Starters are really easy to replace, and usually not very expensive.

Your starter solenoid has gone bad or brushes worn out, replace your starter and charge your battery.

It could be the starter, or the cylanoid could be bad... ask a mechanic though. I have had similar problems and it usually ends up being one of the two.
