Yes, they did. They weren't as sadistic as the Aztecs, but they did their fair share of human sacrifice, aimed at shedding blood to appease the gods. They didn't kill their own people, they sacrificed captives they seized during wars. The victim was held down, over a rock, by four men, and his (or her) beating heart was cut out. Often, they were then beheaded, to spill even more blood to the earth (and appease the gods). They also had some rather painful blood-shedding rituals that weren't fatal, involving their own leaders and people.

Yes, the Mayans practiced human sacrificing. They were also very good at it. Scripture notes that they were so good that they could carve out a human heart with a blunt stone without the victim feeling any pain.

They probably did...and what of it?
Who are you to question the religious preference of a people you know nothing about?
Especially when it is a historical fact that the South American native people were wiped out by Christian Europeans in search of gold! as were most native peoples around the world (American Indians, Hawaiian peoples, Austrailian aboriginies...All killed in the name of a western invented god and the pursuit of gold...
And what scripture are you talking about? Christian scripture? You reallize that most christian writers are liers...
