I have several problems that I need med advice on, one being a potential ovaraian cyst and possibly being hypoglycemic.

However, I don't feel comfortable seeing a doc.

How do you get comfortable with your doc and open up about whats bothering u?

I suggest you get a female doctor. You will feel much more comfortable especially because it is a female problem.

Hi,

I feel very comfortable with my family practitioner. He has been my doctor about 14 years, and I feel he has my best interest at heart. I believe I can tell him anything, and he would be supportive. One of the ways he made me feel comfortable when I met him, was that we had a great conversation about me, and what I was looking for in a caregiver. If you don't have a regular physician, ask your friends, family, or co-workers for recommendations. They will usually be more than happy to pass along a doctor that takes care of them.

I hope this was helpful, all the best.

Steve

If you go to a doctor who doesn't listen to you right off, the
find another doctor. It will probably make you more comfortable if it's a woman doctor, but sometimes they don't have any compassion either but just tell them you're
a little uncomfortable about coming to the doctor and hopefully they'll understand.

My doc's only a few years older than me, so he's kinda fun.
