What types of food are you eating? Are you cutting back on junk food. When I first found out that I was pregnant this time (I'm 16 weeks now) I cut out all junk food and lost 6 pounds in a week. I have only gained about 3 of those pounds back because I have been walking a lot. As long as your baby is growing the way it should there is no real harm in losing some weight. It will actually make childbirth easier on you than gaining too much weight.

Hi Lisa, talk to your doctor about what's happening, he/she can only answer you accurately. But, to ease your mind, the same thing happened to me.
My first trimester, I lost 15 pounds. I weighed about 127 pounds until about 16 weeks pregnant. I was very queasy the first trimester, and barely ate anything until after 13 weeks which easily explained my weight loss. By the end of my third trimester, I had gained back the weight I lost, and put on an additional 20 pounds and gave birth to a healthy baby boy last July.
Good luck to you and your baby, and try not to worry so much. Just ask your doctor, and be sure you aren't anemic already.

The weight is not as important as what kind of nutrition you're giving the baby. Your weight is healthy, so stop focusing on the numbers and be cautious about getting enough vitamins and minerals into your bloodstream for the fetus. Be sure you're not putting any poisons in your body, such as alcohol, drugs, or nicotine. Your doctor will help to keep you on the right track, but just eat (and drink) healthy, protein-rich foods and take your prenatal vitamins.
Good luck!

Nothings wrong, the same thing happened to me. Right now I'm 9moths, but at 10 weeks, I ate everything in sight and lost 25lbs. Don't worry though, give it until you about 4 months and the pounds wont stop.
