The vast improvement in communication and transportation has brought whole humanity closer for the real meaning of Universal brother-hood. The living style of people have changed for the better due to the tireless work of a few.
Intolerance and exploitation to fellow human being based on region, religion, colour and economic backwardness is the bad point of humanity.

Great: We have risen from a few to over 6 billion

Iniquitous: (cool word!): We have taken over from a few to 6 billion

Common ground: Technology has evened the playing field in the past 70 years; little is now hidden from our eyes. We must now accept/ignore it with an open conscience.

I see the current state of humanity as ambivalent. North America and Europe are so wrapped up in materialism and terrorism that they do not see the world picture.

If we took the billions we spent on weapons, in one year, we could feed, medicate, and house the ENTIRE PLANETS POPULATION.

All bow to the power of money...it can save and kill. Amazing for a piece of paper!

How about some clarification? Good, as compared to what? Bad as compared to what? What makes us unique and wonderful is that we are created in the image of God. What makes us iniquitous is our sin nature. The common ground of humanity is a need for change in his relationship to God; the current state, catastrophic if man's predicament isn't solved. But it has, God sending Jesus to die for the sins of the world. God is good, man is not. Some good points, we have achieved great advances in medical science, we can send people into space and bring them back most of the time. Great literary genius, great thinkers. Bad points, WAR, the most useless enterprise ever conceived by human beings. Greed, lust, drunkenness, adultery, murder, backbiters, lovers of themselves, haters of God, etc.

*We have free will. *We choose such silly and destructive things.
What makes us great?
*We do not live by instinct alone. We are adaptable and constantly recreate ourselves. We can Love. We have passion! (Not always for good things, but there is PASSION in mankind for whatever we desire and choose to persue....for good or ill) We have Souls.
What makes us sinful or UnGodly?
*Our Flesh.
What is the common ground?
*Survival
The current state of humanity?
*It is like a mutating cell. We are running headlong into a Destiny that was foretold of long ago.

The bad thing,
life is a popularity contest. You have to be beautiful, rich, or popular to get almost anywhere.

The good about humanity,
when things are at their WORST you see people behaving their best. When something goes wrong, people are there to help.



The common ground.......
A good example is Louisianna
......the ball was dropped and stranded people were ignored.
Yet, there are droves of volunteers helping rebuild every day.

There are alot of things, and people may view these traits as either good qualities or bad qualities, depending on their point of view.

We're empathetic.
We have opposable thumbs.
We have communication.


More but I don't feel like thinking too much today.

Empathy isn't so great when you're trying to survive and you decide to risk your life for someone else, but ethically, it's grand.
