Death penalty for MURDER and RAPES should NEVER be abolished. Imagine the trauma a victims family goes thru until the trial, and to top it if there is no death penalty, the crime rate will increase by leaps and bound.

Even if you dont count all the other areas. Death is the easy way out. Lock em in a room alone for 20 or more years. Thats worse than death.

I think that we should. Noone has the right to claim the life of another. The only problem with that is prisoners will only be put on life sentances then our prisons will only become more compact, then they will expand the prison complexes then they will inforce minor laws, start sending more and more people to jail. In the end, we will all be living in one form of a jail or antother.

Personally I feel they should have a TV show that you pay $100 bucks for, where the death row imates do THUNDERDOME! That is, they fight to the death with weapons. They make money off everything else in the legal system, why do we give murders respect? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
What could be more fun in prision then killing people? Man if I was in prision for life I would kill as many of them as I could.

I think that Nate is on to something. Let them kill each other in the Thunderdome. The state would make money by putting it on pay per view and nobody would have to feel any guilt by pushing the button for lethal injection. That might make a few of these criminals think twice before they act. Take it one step farther and make all inmates fight in ultimate fighter matches. You could have fights weekly by having a lottery to see who fights who.

No quite the opposite. Public hangings would lower the crime rate and make people think. Listen to the song Beer for my horses by Toby Keith. It's true.

No. Because criminals would go rampant,Sitting in jail just gives them more time to blame others for what they did.But if you thing about it , the really bad people don't care about being put to death. So if you don't care about yourself or others, why be here at all?Rehabing people do'es not work for to many people for so many reasons. And why should I pay to house and feed someone that killed somebodies realitive?

Hell no!
I say that if there is no room for reasonable doubt get rid of them faster.
I am sick and tired of paying taxes for these people to sit around and get three hots and a cot not to mention a better education than I can afford to do for myself.

YES!!!!! I think it's hypocritical for people to claim to be pro-life, but not be anti-death penalty
