2) they crawl to any where they want before you know it

It is natural. Bugs can bite, sting, cause disease, sickness, etc...

So we have evolved to be scared of those little nasty things. Then once we learn about which ones are good and which ones are bad, we get over this fear. Some people may think this isn't evolution because people in other parts of the world aren't scared of bugs, but that is just because they have grown up knowing which ones to avoid, and which ones to eat or not worry about, etc..

I only am completely freaked out by hornets, wasps, and bees. They are ugly, sharp looking(their legs) and they have stingers. But, I think people get the heebie geebies around bugs, because they are unattractive, some hairy looking, probaly bite-(persons thought) and the fact that they are crawling around, and can creep threw small spaces, and are tiny enough to be anywhere. Possibly.

I like creepy crawlie bugs and spiders. I think they are fascinating, funny and some are even cute, like grasshoppers. When I was a kid we had tarantulas crawling around in our yard and my dad and I would catch them in big mason jars and scare my mom with them. I also had a 'pet' grasshopper once, who followed me around the house and jumped up on the couch with me when I watched TV. Sounds crazy but it really happened. But most people are freaked out by them. My phobia is flying. Insects are cool.....

Many people are afraid of bugs! Well..I have a 2 year old sister and she isn`t afraid of bugs. People are scared of bugs because they grew up with people who were afraid of bugs. So, my sister is starting to be afraid because she`s been in an environment in which everybody screams when bugs come by.

So, bugs don`t hurt you! Don`t be afraid of them! It`s just what you`ve learned: To scream when bugs come by. --That`s it!

I think it's cause we're scared of things that are potentially detrimental to our health. If you look at all the phobias they're all things that we should keep away from to be alive right? Heights, spiders, enclosures (might be less air there right?), bugs, sharp objects, dirt etc. It's important to keep away from these things after you get rid of the fear that keeps you away from them though...you're genetically scared of them for reason right?

Oh, I am scared of them too. For one, they are UGLY. They have a whole bunch of legs and can crawl anywhere. A lot of them will bite or are poisonous... and having watched Arachnaphobia as a kid doesn't help either.

I guess because they're so small and can just crawl on you. It's really nasty. I almost fainted a couple times and my blood pressure actually rose when i saw a centipede on my wall..
