No clue. I thought NO was still in bad shape because of lack of businesses moving back in. Right now I don't equate NO with economic strength.

I'm shocked that anyone could be so ignorant after what the people of New Orleans have been through. I guess they might think that because of the debit card fraud, but that is so unfair to all the honest people, and really it was just another fema screw up. You will just have to set them straight.

because some so-called "news" shows make a habit out of editorializing about those people who did misuse assistance. I've seen scarbrough, limbough, tucker carlson and others make newstainment out of this
this perception that they have created works against the people who actually need help.
americans are/were eager to believe that people from new orleans ain't chit and don't deserve help and the news media feeds that. americans love to judge others
it ain't fair, but it's the truth. you are a victim of bad press.

Because people are ignorant and believe everything they read in the newspapers and everything they see on tv. They don't realize just how much news in the US is packaged, edited and controlled by people with their own agendas. I swear I find out more about what is really going on in America when I travel outside of it.

I don't understand If you needed help and got it great.
If you took more than you need and filed under aliases and used the money for a boob job or a cruise then yeah I don't like you.

We saw the antics of your fellow citizens as well as your police on national TV. We don't think you hustled FEMA out of as much as was looted.
We still have some of your fellow hurricane victims locked up for murder , here.
