Good question. It all relates back to human nature. To power. To control. The powerfull people make the decisions. Not the smarter ones. If only it was the opposite. The smart ones try to warn us and tell us and inform us, but we're to ignorant. We believe from past history that were going to make it. Global warming, war, nuclear weapons. Smart ones say, stop! stop! Before it's too late. Powerfull ones say. Shutup! Shutup! We make the decisions. Money plays a big role too. For money we sacrifice a lot. Human nature. " So whatever happens, I dont care, I'm only going to live for another 80 years, and then its their problem"

It's much easier said than done, but I would agree that more attention should be brought to these untapped resources, assuming you're thinking of the same ones as me.
I think most people (I am guilty of this as well) are too afraid to deal with what is so terribly real that it could change the course of human history, so they withdraw into made up worlds of their own, usually based around sensationlism or romanticism of things that may or may not be appropriate to sensationalize or romanticise. That, however, is a different topic.

As sad as it is people are afraid of change, this can be seen through out history, i mean, why else do you think evolution takes millenia to occur, we'd be constantly in shock if it were otherwise. Our societies practically haven't changed in the past 300 years, our main beliefs are practically written in stone, its somewhat unlawfull to even think of changing them, our minds set to believe what the majority believes, leaving the rest in a dark abiss afraid to show their real selves, hiding from racism and unfair judging. In the end, we know where we're headed, that's the irony, i guess that until we hit the brick wall at the end of the road and see there's no other way out, then, and only then we'll realize how wrong we were.

Right now we have a way that a car can run on water taken out of the air. The man who invented it will be bout out by big car company's and shut down by the gov. Just like the man who made a carburetor that got 200 miles to the gallon. Whats the moral of this story. Get as much media behind you be for you go public, because then at lest its on there field and you have a fighting chance.

I'm not sure we can change the direction. It seems to be our destiny to destroy ourselves, at least a good part of us. Let's face it, we are a creature with little respect for nature.
I do not read from the bible much these days, but I have heard that someone asked Christ, "if we could avoid the end". His response was supposedly, NO !, And added we may at best, delay it.
So if you find yourself with a little extra wisdom to spare, I know a good cause.

Because many of us do not realize it, and that is where the power of change is, in our thoughts. We are brainwashed by television, education, upbringing, status quo. Our minds and power therein is stunted by our diets, immunizations, education and subliminal programming. We have to believe in ourselves, so the more you spread the word of the power within each and every one of us, and the more healing people do, the more likely we will change our future for the better. But you know what, no matter what happens, the energy of evolution is inevitable. It's just that the more people are stubborn to change and face themselves, the harsher the experience will be, which is what will bring about change.

As long as it remains profitable to be ignorant, Thinkers will stay in the shadows and struggle for the spotlight.
Just an example: if our mainstream media and art reflects our society's values:
- Compare the time spent on tabloid news rather than on topics actually affect our world as a whole.
- More people know who the oscar nominees were than who the nobel prize winners were last year.
When scientists become celebrities, and thought enters our mainstream culture--we may be on our way.

because the folks who "own the planet" make sure, as best they can, that they remain untapped. why? because those people are all tapped out when it comes to wisdom, compassion and general human decency. the self proclaimed elites are greedy, shallow, and psychopathic--filled with fear and negativity.
