What error message did it show? Usually it's about "Buffer underrun" meaning the source didn't supply data to the burner fast enough. As soon as the burner sees that the buffer is empty, it bombs. You can slow down the burner or speed up the supply source to correct this problem. The burner program also has a setting that handles buffer underrun problem. Check that setting.

It depends on what program you have for burning, it might be installed incorrectly, and it also depends on what you are trying to burn, where are you burning from? If its files off your computer hard drive, then it's most likely a glitch in your burning program, but if you are trying to direct copy another cd, then copyright files might be preventing you from accomplishing the duplicate. In that case, you need to use a ripper. Media Player has one for music and various software. Ron
