Nothing is wrong with you. If they are judging you because you got involved with a whitey, then it's their problem and it's not surprising you feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately to get something wonderful, sometimes you have to give up other things. Most of the time, families come around in this type of situations -- they will just miss you too much!

I know some of what you feel. Growing up African American, Black, *****(and some hate the name)I hardly felt I had any identity. Based on what I learned from school, social conversations and the media. the only identity I really seen was victim. It was alway as if someone or something had to come save Us, or be there to even out the score. When I had friends that were Hispanic, Asian, Middle eastern. I was somewhat envious. They had a culture. Like you, they knew with pretty much certainty where their people came from. Be it Costa Rica, Kuwait, Honk Kong, etc. People would ask if I knew where my people were from. What could I tell them? The only thing I knew was where they were from, here, in America. I could not tell you where in Africa my people came from originally to save my own soul. Don't know what native tongue they spoke; Swahili, Mandinken, Tutsi pretty much a crap shoot at this point.
Here I never really embraced the Black lifestyle I guess. I didn't like Soul Food. Fried chicken was not my thing. Soul? R&B? I was hard rock all the way and later heavy metal. I loved tennis more than basketball. Can't dance. Don't really like it much anyhow. So when the bruthas and I got together you can guess who felt like the fly in the ointment. Finally I just said I had to do for me, and if they could not make cool wioth that. when I do my thing, I do my thing, they do theirs. then when we have something we do together, then we kick it.
Maybe you and your b/f should invent ways to do things with both sides of your union or bring them together.

You have to do whatever it is that makes you happy, if you are happier where you are and don't want to associate yourself with your race, that is your choice you shouldn't feel guilty about it. By the way what is a Hmong? Just curious.

Led Zep changed into very influencial to thier time period and thanks to them, and Floyd and so on we've the excellent rock bands of at present. It changed into an awesome time to augment up. once you're searching for a band that advanced thier own way of existence, seem on the grateful lifeless. That changed into quite a mass of folk all around the rustic that one and all merely grooved together. I talked about Floyd a set & Led Zep a pair, Floyd placed on a miles extra acceptable teach. save listening to all those bands, you'll fairly relish it! and also you do not choose the weed......it really is large song!!
