80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping others and other kinds of things 'feel good' pursuits.

There is absolutely no meaning whatsoever to life. Life was created by accident when a bunch of molecules bounced into each other over billions of years to form the basic building blocks of life. In all likelyhood humanity will die out in the next millenium due to its current path of self destruction. Sorry to burst your bubble...

Learning, soul development, experiencing physical existence, consciousness observing itself. The physical experience is a grand experiment which will expand the boundaries of divinity. Because of the density of our existence, we have to learn to realize the truth of ourselves, it is easy to become disconnected from source, which is love, or God, or truth, or soul, what ever your term of understanding is. We must realize that we are all one and act as such, like love each other, and do not judge. Love and allow love.

For me, the point of life is to experience who and what you really are. And experiencing this is what gives Life meaning.

to be happy.
its not some big, overly-dramatic subject that only the greatest thinkers can answer:
just...being happy and appreciating life.
living for God the way he wants you to.
dont complicate it.
Just...be.
be happy
be alive
be grateful.
just...live.

you won't know the meaning of life until you are dead and that will be kind of useless because you can't tell anybody about it.
