Freestyle wrestling is a very different sport from UFC fighting. Angle has little skill in striking, kicking, or submissions. While he's obviously a good enough athlete that he could develop these skills to a certain extent, he would be going up against other excellent athletes who had been doing mixed martial arts their entire careers. He'd be at a major disadvantage.

Angle has a great pedigree with his wrestling background. If he would open himself up and learn striking and submissions then he would stand a chance.
