shouldn't women be running the world? I mean women are the true life givers on the planet. Man cannot bare fruit, they are actually just walking sperm banks. We can kill all men except 5 and life would go on....but leave 5 women and civilization would end really fast.

See there is more then one problem with that statement, The first is that men are the life givers, women just bare the fruit. See men provide stability to the world. There is a reason men are in control, if there were only women, it would be a psychotic once a month, Umm constantly as it happenes at different times for different women..

According to "scripture" the only reason women are the life givers is because Eve (together with Adam) sinned and God had to put in place a way of a savior for that sin to be born so atonement for that sin in the world could be rectified. Adam was created first and seemed to be happy before she came along. (wink and a smirk) I don't think a planet of only women would work given their nature to catfight and not able to agree on anything. (kidding) (read ongoing hen fest)
So lets say its a planet of only women,, would they then want to do away with the male babies as they are born? How would that work. (or reverse the scenario?)
Both sexes have qualities that are needed to harmonize with each other. While at this juncture in our knowledge of science, either sex doesn't really need the other, as birth can take place outside a woman's body, each has equal responsibilities (both in nature and in nurturing) in this world to help keep our species alive.
(This is not to say that a planet of only men or only women wouldn't work given our technology to grow, harvest and keep eggs and sperm alive with a head start from either sex)
You did pose and interesting question tho - hmmmm ? a planet of just all gay men or all lesbians -

Civilization would die either way, with only 5 men there wouldn't be enough genetic material to produce more than 1 or 2 viable generations of humans. Fact is you need a wide assortment of genetic material to prevent the rapid onset of physical and developmental problems in children.
However if the world population of men was to be reduced to only 5........... Where do I sign up to be one of the 5. ;)

Well that all depends on how you look at it. Women need men in order to create life. Those who believe in God believe that God creates life all by himself. So given that fact neither man nor woman is created in the true image of God.

What if God doesn't exist separately from us? What if God is us and we are God? What if we are all co-creators?
But that's not what you asked. Truth be told women were quite revered before "The Church" came along and wiped out, as much as possible, any hint that women were worthy of reverence at all. We used to be much more powerful and there were people whose leaders and warriors were female.

Men and women are both created in the image of God, they have different qualities of Him. Neither are 100%. Men were created to be the leaders and providers and women were created to be his helper.
