to raise money for AIDS, cancer, and other diseases destroying our people while the government spends fafillions of dollars on NASA, warfare, and Camp David...also instead of giving 10% to these mansion sized churches, wouldn't it be "Christ-like" to spend it on the things i mentioned before?

Do you know how many scientific discoveries made by NASA have been used to better the lives of human beings around the world?
I agree, the catholic church makes alot of money, from the parish priest on up. They could afford to cough some up!

While I'm not opposed to NASA and Camp David, I do think a lot of the money spent on socialist programs like welfare need to be but to a better purpose. That being said, it is not the government's jog to cure diseases.

because the world is overpopulated. if we spend so much on research, we might actually find a cure. then what? people won't die and the world will be too crowded and unpleasant to live in.
we need diseases.
