First off, have they met the guy? If not, then you need to talk to your family and let them know how you feel. After that, I would set up a time for them to meet him. If they have met him, ask them why they feel the way that they do. Overall, this is up to you. If he treats you right, and really cares about you, then stay with him, you found a rare guy. Your family and friends should come around sooner or later.
