Stress sometimes can keep a woman from getting her period. That has happened to me twice. Also, if you haven't been eating enough and have lost a great deal of weight (severely underweight) you can also not get your period. If some of your hormones are out of whack you could not get your period. From what you've described in your past about how long it took for a pregnancy test to show a positive, I would assume that you are pregnant and eat well and refrain from any drugs or alcohol (if you are into that). Better to be safe than sorry. You can also go to the doctor and get them to take a blood test so that you can find out for sure. Wish you the best.

Well I don't think it going to be harmful to baby because it is so early...but if all of the test are coming back negative it might be to early to tell or you probally not pregnant, maybe you might just be missing this month. But if you are still worried I say go to the doctor and have a pregnancy test done

It could be because you are pregnant, or stress, or something else, like they mentioned before. I would go to the doctore for a check up, but I don't see what could really harm the baby if you wait, but to be on the safe side. Hope this helps.

waiting won't be harmful to the baby unless you are continuing to smoke/drink alcohol, etc..
it's possible that you are pregnant and that the at-home test isn't picking the HCG levels (what they test for in your urine). you could go to your OBGYN and have a blood test to be certain. Other things that could cause an irregular cycle are stress, illnes, anemia or dramatic weight loss. If it were me, I'd probably wait a couple more weeks and if my cycle didn't start, I'd head to the OBGYN for a pregnancy test and/or to find out what might be causing my irregular cycle.

I am 37 yrs old and have never had a period without hormone treatments. My reason for that, is that my ovaries are too small to function properly. Other reasons for not having a period are stress or maybe blocked fallopian tubes. I suggest you don't wait at all! Go see your doctor!

There are several reasons, other than pregnancy, why your period might be late or altogether absent. My advice is go to a doctor and get checked. Don't wait.
