My husband just bought an '83 CB450SC with a ripped up seat. He bought a repair manual (Clymer), but there isn't any info about seat removal. Can someone help him (and me) out with a "how-to" on removing the seat.

Thanks!

Where on the seat? Middle, front, back? Thanks for the quick response!

there are two small bolt,s on the bottom of the seat,,the head size is 10mm,,you remove them,,and slide the seat backwards and it will come off,,be care full not to over tighten the bolt,s when you put them back on though,,you might break them off in there,,you may have to put a little penetrating oil on them for a while,,they may be rusty,,hope this help,s you.

Unlock the helmet holder (it's on the right, near the seat strap).
Pull the lever attached to it and the lever on the L side of the seat towards the rear of the bike.
