If you mean "Hangman's Curse", then yes, and since I LOVED the book, I tried the movie.
It was ok, I guess, but nothing to get all excited about. The book is better.
But I'm not sure about Nightmare Academy. I hope they do make one; maybe it'll be better than the first.
Is he writing a third book, do you know?

Yes, and they filmed it in Spokane at the high school my daughter graduated from. It's supposed to be outstanding, but I haven't seen it, and don't even know if it's been released yet.
