That show is a perfect example of why you shouldn't rush to be married.

Actually, Divorce Court made me scared to get divorced, not married. But you know something? I just got divorced, and I'm still good friends with my ex. Basically, any divorce that's in the media, whether it's on Divorce Court, or if it's a messy Celebrity Breakup, is played up as some sort of catastrophic event.

When your relationship is over, it's over. Both people should just admit it (it's hard), and as long as someone hasn't hurt the other, it doesn't have to be like a Divorce Court divorce.

The lesson on Divorce Court isn't to not get married. The lessons are :
1. Don't marry someone who has already been divorced 5 times.
2. Don't marry someone you only met 2 weeks ago
3. Don't marry someone who has cheated on you 12 times during your relationship and act surprised that they are still cheating on you.

Maybe scared to go to divorce court, but not to get married. Maybe if I had seen in 20 years ago, I would have had the same reaction you did.

No but my ex-husband was enough of an experience to last a lifetime.
The divorce was almost 20 yrs ago, and I still have no desire to ever marry
again. It doesn't mean I don't like men. I just don't want to get married

Dude, my supervisor at my previous job was on there. She said that they kept them seperated the WHOLE time until the moment they walked into the court room. And the people that work for the show actually make each other mad at the other and start shyt up too. Thats what she told me. And no she's not remarried, lol!

Done the real thing, that was much scarier.I dearly love women, but the thought of getting married again, once burnt the saying goes.Get to know your significant other, live together, then you can approach marriage with a bit more understanding.

Most definately.....yes!! Recently engaged but feel that most people have the scary feeling when they even hear the word. I just keep faith in my relationship and am willing to ride the rollercoaster thru it all. : )
