Why do liberals gloat about helping the poor, but they usually do nothing?

It's the best of both worlds my friend! You can pretend to help the poor, make OTHER people donate money, you feel like you did something, and you STILL get to live in your mansion and ride in your limosines!

Other people gain, and you lose nothing! Boo Ya!

What liberals gloat about anything? Who says liberals gloat about helping the poor but do nothing?

Liberals registered black people to vote in the South when it was a crime to register black people to vote. And a Democrat, who was not a liberal, but a conservative Democrat started the War on Poverty, which virtually eradicated malnutrition in the South.

But Bill Clinton as President, forced a lot of welfare mothers back to work after signing his welfare reform package. That may be liberal or conservative to whomever wants to believe what it is. So there is some action behind your reference to all talk and no action.

Hillary Clinton, with her It Takes a Village to Raise a Child agenda went knocking for poor children who were being brought up in poverty and she literally sold those children into bondage with wealthy people who could support her program. I don't know if that is liberal or conservative, but it sure is sick and it sure is slavery.

So, is Hillary Clinton a conservative or a liberal?

I don't think you have time to go looking for the action and I don't think this forum is a reliable indicator of the talk. So, what is your problem?

For liberals, it is not the result of their actions, but the appearance of their cause that matters. Throw money at the problem regardless if it is helping or not.

Roseknows, in the answer above, is right. Democrats did do some good things for the poor, but using conservative ideas. Clinton passed the welfare reform with the Republican controlled congress. One thing Clinton did do good. Also, it was a Republican controlled congress that passed the civil rights act in the 60s against the likes of Democrat and former KKK Grand Wizard, Robert Byrd.

I liked when Live 8 a concert to help raise awareness about the debt of countries in Africa made a profit for the first time they decided not to give the money to African countries since the fraud they experienced in the past. But they did not pay off their debt either. They kept it to pay operating expenses.
