Trust me hun I just got myself out of a mess like that. I dated a guy because I didn't want to hurt him and then lose him as a friend. So I dated him and I wasn't happy and he knew it. So I told him how I truely felt and he was upset but not because I broke things off but that I was so unhappy trying to make him happy. So trust me you will hurt him alot more if you date him but don't have feelings for him then you would if you told him how you really felt and that you just wanted to be friends. I hope I helped in some way. Hope things work out.

You can say that you are not willing to date right now because you just came out of a bad relationship and that you just have not gotten over that situation.
Hopefully he doesn't know you. If he does just tell the truth, what doesn't kill him will only make him stronger

Remember, this guy has been thinking about you in a way that's kind. He shows no hatred towards you, and that's a nice feeling. But, don't ignore what you feel. Tell this boy that you are flattered, but you don't feel that way about him. If that seems too scary, then tell him that you are too busy with life or that you are not allowed to date.

As the saying goes, "The truth sahll set you free." Just tell him that you have no interest in dating him. He'll probably be hurt, but he'll get over it in due time. Or he'll respect you for being honest with him instead of beating around the bush.

It depends on how much of a loser he is. If he's one of those guys that's really, really nice but never gets dated and he's latched onto you because you were nice to him and is misinterpreting it, he will NEVER get it. You pretty much -have- to just be blunt about it. I mean, don't be mean to him, but just tell him "Look, you're a really nice guy, and I love being your friend, but that's all I'm really interested in; not a relationship." Or, if he never asks you outright, just never bring it up and pretend like you can't tell he likes you in that way. *shrug*

This is an easy one. If you don't like the dude, tell him. You don't have to be rude or condescending, just honest. Use TACT: Tact is; the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they anticipate the trip. Be smart about your response to him.

Just me honest. Tell him you didn't want to upset him, but that you're not interested in dating him. Tell him to not get mad and you're sorry. Say, "I'm sorry [name]. I like you, but I don't want to date you. Please don't be mad." Maybe give him a hug and unfortunately say, can we just be friends. Also, you can add, "I'm sure you'll find someone that really cares about you."

you should definetly tell him the truth, if you lie to him, it would hurt him more than lying about it then him finding out. Tell him that hes just not your type. it will create alot less tension and all that crazy stuff that happens alot!

Just be polite and let him know that, "Thanks, but I am not interested in dating you". If he continues to be a pain, then you have the right to be rude to him and tell him you would not date him if he was the last man on Earth.
