The medias purpose is to sensationialize the new to keep us watching and buying their papers. Look also who runs the media, big business. Big business is composed of rich caucasian men. As long as there are people of varying colors the media will potray them in a mostly negative light. In that way the people of non color will feel good about themselves and feel superior and this gives them power. I wish we would all inner marry so everyone would end up gray. Then there would be prejudice over shades of gray. This crap will never end.

We don't have the power to stop media moguls and multi millionaires from producing whatever they feel and when they feel. We must understand that just it's on TV doesn't mean it's true. You only make a stereotype true if you live up to it.

unfortunately that the world we live in. we magnify the bad and print small things about the good...case in point almost cost kayne west a pepsi deal after he bad mouthed the pres for hurricane katrina but nobody said anything about what he did for the vitctims...

not everyone is that stupid or ill-informed. however many people would rather stick with their own kind and point at "those people" point at "them" They are to blame. cheer up! all you can do is keep yourself informed and be a good ambassador for your particular gender/race/religion/hair color...not everyone has a small mind!

Because those who have the power in media themselves lack racial diversity. Therefore, they demonize other races due to their lack of experience with those races.
