Yes, it certainly does. I watched my wonderful grandpa die from lung cancer (had a lung removed too) because he smoked from the time he was 13 years old. So sad, I would have wanted him around for a much longer time and he died at 62, too young.

In one word, YES. Also, the more you smoke, the higher your chances of getting not only lung cancer but nearly 200 other diseases. Quitting helps REDUCING you chances of cancer and quitting early is more beneficial than quitting late. Your life expectancy is nearly 11 years more if you dont smoke than somebody who does.

Worse than that it makes you smell bad. The lung cancer does not happen until you are older and it is very painful and slow. Do not smoke!

My grandparents both lived well into their 90's and both smoked from the time they were kids. I agree it does cause lung cancer but if your not genetically pre-disposed for cancer it may not happen.
