do you think that if all at once the world became of one mind we could break into a new amazing universe of life?

The answers so far have assumed that we all thought alike. I wonder if you mean that if we all chose a stand as a planet, for example, no one goes hungry.

Therefore, all governments, all humans, all would agree and enforce that every human had the right to eat.

This does not mean that we all "thought" the same. We all agreed that every human had a basic right, and it was carried out.

I could, and would love to see, a world where all fellow humans had the basic fundamental rights of health, food, shelter, democracy and freedom of speech. If this was true, and we actually came together as a race to accomplish this feat (so far unrealized), I could foresee a different planet.

If we look back just century, it boggles the mind to see how far we've come. The human race uses just 10% of its brain power, and see what we've done (good and bad...).

Imagine, with a humanitarian planet, and a focus for the common good. Almost anything is possible!

If I'm not mistaken, the idea of evolution requires diversity in a species, physical and mental.

Historically, it's people who were remarkably different from the others who changed the world. If everyone was exactly the same, there would be no way for anyone to get the idea that there was an alternative to their own life, and the world would stay basically the same until acted upon by an outside force.

Whoa, I was able to make Newton'a laws of motion apply to interpersonal philosophy...

I think a world of one mind would be a very boring place. Nothing new or unexpeceted could happen because we would all have already put it together in our "one" minds.
