I just want to hear some people's opinion, because there were others who got disappointed in the latter part. I think the movie is great though. Totally loved it.

I thought that it was good. People that didn't like it might be caught up in it as a solitary movie when maybe they should be looking at it as the series. I think it set up the third movie nicely. Yes, we were left with a few loose ends and missing explanations (I thought Barbossa had died....), but it's unlikely that they will remain unexplained. It will all come together, I guarantee it.

Man, could not have left a more obvious open-ended ending to a movie than that. LOL I think it was a bit cheesy, but still, nicely set-up to project the third film's continuation of the entire trilogy.
Gotta love Barbosa, though.

The ending SUCKED!!!!! But the rest of the movie was phenomenal!!! Lots of good humor, suspense, and stunts. Can't wait till 3!!! It gonna be a busy summer with a new Harry Potter book, movie, and a new Pirates movie! Yay!!

I enjoyed the movie and the only thing that I didn't like about the end was the fact that now I have to wait another year to find out what happens to Jack. Bummer!!!

I loved it. I loved the ending too, I would hate it if he was gone for good, but he's coming back in the 3rd movie. I also liked how Borbosa (sp?) came back.

Not that they needed to give fans encouragement to see the 3rd movie, but this was certainly enough to make most people at the theatre start yelling and such. I thought it was fun.

it was a shock and a good ending it makes you think about how the third movie is going to be and it makes me wish that the third one was out already.

It was odd, maybe because I missed something or because I can't remember the first movie all that well.
