Judging is to presume you know one person's heart and thereby pronouncing judgement. If you are placing someone in their 'eternal outcome,' then you are Judging. It isn't always that obvious, though... You might just be commenting on small stuff like appearance, or ability to communicate, or other such atributes. It isn't an extremely black & white subject. Just always keep in mind that you DON'T know everything about a person's motives, or heart, or history. Never presume you know why a person is doing something, or that a person will do something... 1 Samuel 16:7 "But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenace, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for The LORD seeth not as a man seeth; for man looketh upon the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." I hope that I've helped you, and if I haven't, I hope you find your answer.

Right is right and wrong is wrong. To point out a sin according to the Bible is not judging. Condemning, shaming, or belittling the person is passing judgement. Jesus said that he who has not sinned cast the first stone.
Example: I have an employee who just had a baby out of wedlock. She knows that I do not agree with pre-marital sex. She also will find out next week that she is being given a promotion at work that will literally double her pay. Why? She is a great person and employee who messed up. Well, so have I. Who am I to condemn her and not give her the promotion because of a sin. To judge would be the ungodly thing to do. Not Godly. Great question, by the way.

Judging is believing that you have the personal right to say what someone is doing or who someone is is right or wrong and to condemn them, either in your opinion, treatment, actions, or words to them. Not judging someone is recognizing that people are different, have different beliefs, and different values, accepting them for it (not necessarily approving of it, but not acting like you are better than them). It's funny that Christ said that those without sin cast the first stone and Christianity teaches that noone is perfect, yet the most jodgemental and close-minded people on this web site are self-professed Christians.

The judgement is that we judge anothers salvation. We are to judge others and refrain from fellowshipping with those who are against the faith. Mark those who would do harm to the body of Christ. Judging actions of others is a necessity, while judgement of salvation belongs to God the Father and the white throne judgement from those who have salvation through Christ belongs to Christ.

Christ did not teach it is wrong to judge; the passage that you are alluding to says "Judge not lest ye be judged, for with what judgement ye judge ye shall be judged" (Matthew 6:1ff). If you continue on in that passage, Christ is speaking of judging others for small faults while I have huge faults in my own life. A hypocrite should judge others!

When you meet someone or you just see them you automatically pass judgment on them. Christ taught that it is wrong to do this. What this means is, get to know someone before you decide if someone is bad or good. Let God be the judge of that.

One aspect of judgementalism is determining whether a behavior is right or wrong. Certainly, Jesus did not mean that people should refrain from determining which behaviors are right and which are wrong. I believe that the aspect of judgementalism that Christ discouraged was the act of stating that individuals where going to Heaven or Hell. Jesus is the judge of who enters the Kingdom of Heaven - not mortals.

Judging in this context means thinking that you are way better than someone else. This is wrong. However, there is nothing wrong in thinking you are right and someone else is wrong. Jesus certainly did that, especially with the pharises. The way "judging" is used today, meaning that you must believe there is no right or wrong and everyone is just as right as you are is not the way Jesus meant it.

Judging is when you have a critical spirit. You are putting someone down. Judging is when you think you are better than they are. Judging is not when you stand up for what you believe.

Well, I'm not sure exactly what is meant by it, but I would say that it's something along the lines of "Don't look down upon others who differ from the norm." Supposing that's true, however, here's my question to you: If the Bible syas not to judge others, then why is it that many Christians frown upon gay/lesbian marriage and things like that?
