First wash your face and use A toner, then you have clean skin to put make-up on then, use a eye shadow that you like put the darker color on the crease of your eye, then put A lighter shade on your eye lid and blend the shadows with your make-up brush then, put on a eyeliner then, mascara don't forget the lashes on the bottom then, some lip liner and lipstick to match and you could also use A bronzer to give you A sun kissed glow! hope that helps I sell the #5 product in the world!! Artistry cosmetics good for all skin types and doesn't test on animals

Wear eyeliner but on your bottom lids only. Don't wear differen't colors, stick with black. Make sure to put it ABOVE your lashes and not below. Do this by pulling down your eyelid and putting it on the pink part that is closest to your eyes. I reccomend a self sharpening one, from Covergirl. Dont get mabelene they hurt your eyes. Do it all the way across until the very corner of your eye.
Now you need mascara. I suggest intense XXL because it has worked best for me and I still use it. I love it it makes my lashes sooo long. Be sure to angle the brush so that it seperates your lashes. DONT hold the brush parallel to your lashes; it will clump them together. instead hold it at a 45 degree angle. Also never do colored mascara, this is cheezy. Choose a black or brown, whichever you think looks best on you.
Skip the eyeshadow. Trust me.
DONT use foundation to cover zits. If you have acne, see a dermatologist and get rid of it. I suggest Doryx to rid of your acne, it works really well without any side effects. Also be sure to wash your face twice a day, NOT any more. If you wash it any more your face will be stripped of oil and your face will produce extra oil to make up for the lack, and you will end up with an even oilier face. I suggest using Tea Tree oil from the Body Shop, it works great. If your face is dry, use a moisterizer twice a day. If it is oily, put a layer of baby powder on your face before applying your makup. Rub it in well and keep a ziplock of it in your purse because if your face gets oily later on, all you have to do is rub some on for a quick fix and perfect results.
As for foundation, only use it if you have uneven skin. Look at your cheeks and nose; are they reddish or do you have large pores on your nose? If you said yes then you need foundation. DONT apply foundation to your entire face;you will look like a geisha (chinese women... white faces.. you know). Only apply in to your nose, under your eyes and top part of your cheeks. Possibly your chin if that is reddish too. If your eyes are puffy then hold some wet cotton balls soaked in cold water under there for a few minutes. Then apply your foundation.
Be sure that your foundation matches your skin tone well. Match it with the color of your forehead, as this may be different from, say, your hand. Now look at your eyelids. If you can lightly see your veins, then put a small amound of foundation there too. Be sure to blend it well. Use your fingers to blend, not a sponge. You will blend it better this way. Blend by rubbing it out. Once you think you are done check and see if you can see any lines were you forgot to blend. Also, don't use too much foundation. When using a liquid, you should only use 1 to 2 pea sized amounts. I suggest Infalible, it blends really well and has sun tan lotion. THen only thing is that most foundations dont last very long. The best thing you can do to keep foundation on is to moisterize first. DONT use a scented moisterizer, this might make you break out. I suggest Lubraderm skin nurousing lotion.
If you want, use a little bit of blush. Be sure to put it on the right place according to your face shape. Oval face, right on you cheek bone. I'm not sure for other face shapes you have to look it up. But dont use too much you'll look like a clown.
Keep with these tips, DONT USE EYESHADOW, and dont let your makeup go to your head (dont get cocky about it). And also: Check ALL your makeup to make sure it's non-comegenic before letting it touch your skin... otherwise it will clog your pores.
P.S. a little gloss is okay too, just dont use a tinted gloss;stay with the clear.

Go to Sephora for a free make over. They'll teach you everything you need to know and will help you pick the right products for your skin and your coloring.

maybe ask someone who knows how to do it, to show you, or maybe even look in a teen magazine or online....the internet has everything. lol there is a make up generator, on www.myjellybean.com , that asks you what color eyes, what skin tone, and what color hair that you have, and then you push enter and it tells you what you would look best wearing!
hope i helped! :)!

Go to a Nordstrom, buy something little, lipstick or something, and ask for a make over. That's what my girlfriend does for a living. So long as you buy something little, they like it.

Try and remember that less is more, if someone looks at you and the first thing they notice is your makeup you have too much on
