I'm not sure what you are trying to get rid of...it seems like there are several different definations for spyware...but Adaware SE Personal is a very good program that I have found usefull for getting rid of anything that I don't want on my computer. It is free for personal use. It can be downloaded at: www.lavasoft.com

Try Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy Those 2 are excellent.
