With respect to Bush; there's nothing much we can do about him personally but we can stop the War hungry Republicans by defeating them at the polls! Bush and his administration could have done so much good for this country but unfortunately; he fell for elder Cheney's and Rumsfeld's hunger for power and world domination doctrines. They were salivating at the opportunity presented to them when the tragic events of Sept. 11 occurred. Their opportunity to cover up their mistakes in Iraq made them blind to the truth and Bush fell in with them for 2 reasons; 1) he was totally in a fog about what action to take when it happened, mainly due to his lack of experience (yes, we voted in a dummy, myself included) and 2) the very words he spoke when making a case against Saddam...'he tried to kill my father' I truly believe these mistakes where his downfall. All intelligence findings twisted and distorted by Cheney and Rumsfeld filled his ears and he followed like a trusty old dog. Once the commitment to war was made by using fear tactics to get the country behind him was made, it was a lost cause. If you don't believe the 'fear domination' tactic; next time his popularity is down notice the strange correlation of increased attacks by Al-queada, terrorists in and out of the country....some believed to false statements by his adminstration. Trying to prove this is impossible since they have very conveniently changed the law to protect them and also to prevent communication with those arrested since all Geneva convention laws were found to not apply to the United States. Tremendous profiteering has been gained by Bush's family, Cheney and most of his staff throughout this war mainly by assigning contracts to his Halliburton cronies and others.
Before someone starts throwing out the unpatrioatic accusations, let me explain that being a true patriot is quite different than being a dumb patriot!....I strongly believe that EVERYONE of us in this country WILL defend this country if truly attacked by an aggressive country's ARMY. Notice I highlighted the word ARMY, I do this because those that got brain-washed by the constant 'fear' indoctrination tactics, all fell in like sheep in a herd and followed their 'leader' into what now has turned out to be a great mistake in our history. Terrorism is not a conventional enemy and as such you don't send thousands of young men to their deaths to avenge your father's attempted murder! as a whole, we fight for our nation but not for our President.....can anyone tell me who said that in our great history?.....so again; by using the terrorist theory, this administration steers us away from the real issues hampering this country; Pakistan, Bin-Laden, poverty, jobs, immigration, losing many of our rights to speak out, intimidation tactics , censure of the press and so on. Iraq is now a complex issue with no short term resolutions, why? because Bush enjoys the apparent success of this war by reminding us and the families of those poor young life's parents, that they died for our freedom. The truth is that our 'freedom' was never in danger; not in the true meaning of the word. what has really happened is that our fear factor has been dangerously increased to the point that we suspect all and trust no one; look around us, at this point in time, we are so worked up with the illegal immigrants that we have somehow convinced ourselves that they are to blame for everything from stealing 'our jobs' to tax, and welfare abuse. If you really stop to think about it, most americans will spend endless hours trying to cheat the government by finding loop holes in order not to pay their taxes!....and the richest are the most guilty.....when was the last time you wished you could work in a car wash for minimum wage? do you really think that a poor mexican worker with a 3rd grade education can come here and easily take over my high paying engineering job?...or what about yours as a lying and cheating political lawyer?.......why do I say mexican worker?....because the immigration is about prejudice and skin color....let me explain, I am a citizen of hispanic descent; if I was lined up with many other illegal immigrants of light skinned features, I would be picked out to be the illegal immigrant 9 out of 10 times!
War mongering is a way of life in human nature, for a while, it seemed the whole world was coming to terms with the ugliness of war and we were at least learning how to tolerate each other by respecting our own space and stay out of quarreling unless it was necessary. This came about by the hard work of Presidents and their administration's hard work before Bush jr. came along and in less than 2 years had screwed everything up.....before anyone starts with the Liberal bull crap, let me identify this as part of the problem....how can you say we are the greatest country when we can't even stand each other's political belief?.....if nothing else people let us respect each other's right to political belief and if by some chance a fool of a president is elected; admit the error and do what is right before many more young men die. In the end I believe that Bush will pull out the troops but leave this mess to the next President who may be a Democrat; then he will get all the blame!....brilliant planning Mr. Bush!

Well if you are 18 or older, you can vote for the candidate that you think is going to enact a policy that you would support. As for our current president and the current war I would suggest this.
If you don't like how things are going, write you congressman and senator and tell them how you feel.
I would also suggest getting the name of a service member over in Iraq and starting a dialogue with them through email or letter. Find out what they are going through, and how you might support them. Big difference in supporting a war and supporting the troops.

Bush don't have a problem with war. I think the better question to ask is, "what can we do with you and your problem with war?"

Did you vote?
Search as much as you can on the presidential candidates, see if they have what you're looking for. Pray about who would be the best choice. Then get out there and VOTE! If your candidate fails to win, support the person that won. Stop all this bad mouthing. Instead, get out there and write to congress, senate, and who ever else you can think of.. to hear your voice. Start backing up this country, instead of flapping your jaws.
VOTE!!!!

What is his problem. Afgan thing was a sucess right? Don't only focus on the things that don't work. AS a president he has been dealt a very bad hand and dealt with 90% of it better than anyone else could have..

I will assume you mean the war that both political parties all voted on and agreed to do it, the same war that even hillary clinton agrees has to be finihsed and we can't just pull out.
that way. I guess we support him and get the job finished?
