You would go at the age you are now (for instance, if you were 12 in 76 and go back there, you would not be 12), you could not come back(you would continue to age normally).
You could do pretty much whatever you wanted.
When would you go to?? and why??

I'm going to leave this up to all of you to decide. I was a little surprised by the number of people that said that they would go back and change things in their own life...as opposed to going back or forward to simply experience that time. I guess though that that is a natural reaction.

I would go back a couple years,to fix all the stupid mistakes I made. I have lost and hurt many friends because of unwise choices and really wish i could unsay the things i said both to and about them.

I would like to go both ways but forward first. Because if the technology enabling travel in time is available in the present time it will definitely be available in future. Thus giving opportunity to come back to the present and may be go to the past as well.

im not sure if ive already answered this, i do time travel a lot, the problem is once you time travel & you become a time traveler you are no longer part of the mainstay of humanity & are doomed to wander timelines often confused about when you last had lunch, your life then makes no differnce in the past as that already happend & thus you cannot change it making you a spectator, going to thr future is worse for "jetlag" and your focus becomes worse as you have no history to base your thoughts on anymore, your actions count for little in the future as there are so many possibilities so i often just try stay in bed in the present now, i first traveled to avoid bad pop music it is in my vast experiance easier to wear earplugs, .

I'd go back to correct a bunch of mistakes that I wish I'd never made, then I'd go into the future so that I could go to school there and learn about future technology and come back to my own time and take credit for all the inventions... mwahahahaha... I've thought about this before. lol.

If I could travel through time...then why not BOTH? If you or I could actually "time-travel", then what is there to keep you from going and exploring time in BOTH directions? We could go forward in time for a while to see what is to befall us in the time to come...and then we could also after that go BACK in time to re-live a particular event that we today can only read about in our history books. So, my answer is: "both forward AND backward" in time.

If I had to stay the age I am now, I'd go forward. I wouldn't want to go back at my present age because I'd be dead in 2006.

I would go forward to see if many biblical events really happened and what they were like. Also to go to "The Renaissance Era" and play golf with Leanardo Da'Vinci ( I would invent golf later and be a millionare).
