No. Even if we have world peace we will always have borders. Even the most friendly neighbors have separate houses and fences between them.
If you look at it from a Christian perspective you will see that the Messiah is the King of kings... meaning that there will still be kings and kingdoms under his administration. If there are kingdoms under him then we can conclude that even the ultimate government allows for diversity.
If we want to have true and trustworthy world governance we need to admit that cultural segregation will always exist and that attempts to make everyone the same (a monoculture) will make things worse. In legal terms, a world government should stick to procedural changes and not substantive changes in culture.

Off course that will happen. Sooner than you think. Borders were invented by humans. I always tell people to look at Earth from a "spaceship" perspective. What do you see? Do you see borders? Do you even see us...little insignificant beings we are.
There is no good reason for borders to exist. I don't even want to get into philosophical or ethical issues of having borders in the first place, but let's look at practical reasons - that's what we humans (especially Westerners) understand best. So, borders don't really stop illegal immigrants from entering different countries. Borders don't stop wars. Borders don't stop diseases from crossing over. Borders don't stop illegal trafficking of humans, arms, drugs, etc.
They even encourage negative behavior in some cases - like wars, tax fraud, ethnocentrism and destructive thinking that "we don't belong to this Earth, so we don't have to care about environmental issues".
Better question is what would happen if we proclaimed no borders tomorrow? Actually I will go ahead and post that question. Thanks for getting me started (this is my very first comment).

Sure but in a very very very long time. It will not happen in our generation or the next or the next... Do I want it to happen now? No! Because the way things are it would make the world a worse place to live if the entire planet was border free.

Oh ya, the Bible is 100% accurate in it's prophetic record. It states that Jesus will return and establish His rule on earth. This new millenial kingdom will be unlike any other; no more war, the lion will lay down with the lamb, a child will play near the adders den and the peace that all have called for will finally happen.

Yes when the Anti-Christ reigns but Jesus Christ will come back in all his Glory and the saved are already citizens of the Kingdom of God and the saved will never be citizens of the Anti-Christ's One Nation Earth.

to be frank this question of yours touched my heart. but i think, we as humans are taught and nurtured by our families and so called socities in a way that our minds are not willin to accept others as humans. so i think something like this can never ever become a reality.
anyways, i hope someday this dream of ur comes true.
