You can try Habitat for Humanity. And this time, make sure he's insured. . .

You could try asking a local church to help. You could also contact your local newspaper with your story and see if they would run a story on your situation. People might donate building materials because of the story. I would be careful about saying that they are living in a garage (unless everyone is over 18) as Childrens Protective Services might have to get involved. Also try calling your local Red Cross office.

My sympathies to your father, what a terrible experience.
Is he able to do some part time work for materials suppliers, and get paid in materials?. Do you have 2nd hand material places where materials can be obtained VERY cheaply?
I presume you are in USA and I don't know how things are done over there, but if anyone is in a situation like that in our small community here where I live, (in Australia) friends and family rally around, and donate materials, time and labour to help.
Good luck.

The only money that you can get to rebuild your house is the only kind that you work for and pull out of you own pocket! You should have gotten insurance---well now you know for next time! Good luck, my best wishes!

Uh, sorry, there isnt much help for someone that is too cheap to pay $400 a year for insurance for just this sort of thing... To me, thats kind of asking for it. So not only am I pretty sure that there is noplace that is going to help, but I also have very little pity. It all goes back to accepting responsibility for your choices- you dad made this choice, time to man up and deal with it on his own.

If he is a contractor, he probably has a commercial account at a builder's supply outlet and he could charge the materials to his account and then work to pay off the account.

Red Cross or the Salvation Army, might help, but that is for the truly destitute and not for the cheap and stupid. If your dad is a contractor than he is aware that homes do burn, good luck.
