FFVII...yes, the graphics can be kinda laughable but the full motion videos *esp Sephiroth in the fire and with JENOVA* are awesome. Plus the story line is so complex..it has something for everyone: confusion, romance, angst, drama, comedy..all these things :)

Start out with Final Fantasy X. Then continue with Final Fantasy X-2.
Final Fantasy X is really great and Final Fantasy X-2 is a continuation of the story.

Final Fantasy VII. Don't be deterred by how old it is and the bad graphics. I played it for the first time very recently, and I'll say that it's still very good. X is good as well.

Final Fantasy 7 is the best one...has always been the best, and will ALWAYS be the best :)

ff 7 is kewl cause ya got cloud seperhoph and leon all the kewl ppl
ffx is the best game i have ever played its also a good challenge
and ffx-2 is a disgrace to all rpg games

Might I suggest you start with FFVII (best FF ever)
So that if you play FFX after it, you will really truly appreciate the detail...if you play FFX first you are going to be annoyed by the quality of FFVII

doesn't matter, they aren't related. unless you want to play final fantasy x, then ffx-2. ffx by the way is an amazing game.

I would suggest playing ffx or ff7 as both of those have excellent stories
