i've been looking into it, and if its decent, then i would love to get it. but i also heard that you have to buy equipment for it too. so overall, how much would the service, and maybe a portable device cost?

You can get a portable receiver for about $50 USD, service runs about $12 USD per month. I pay for the service and love it, but I use it 15-20 hours a day 6 or 7 days a week because I drive an 18-wheeler for a living. If I didn't drive for a living, I probably wouldn't pay for the service.

When I bought mine, I got all the equipment needed for mobile use for $99, on sale at Best Buy. Pilot truckstops have the same set up for $150. The service is $12.95 per month. If you pay for it annually, you get a month free and only pay for 11 months. If you are a sports fan, Sirius is the way to go. If you are just looking for music stations, XM is cheaper. Same price for equipment, but service is $9.95 a month.

the portable device is a bit price aoround 200 here car setup is about 60 bucks. my advice get xm i've had sirius I enjoy xm more alot of channels on sirius would repeat every few hours and had more signal loss. my xm setup and activation cost around 100 total and it's 14 bucks a month

If you can deal search among other things you can get the reciever for less than $40 and service is how well you talk, to the person, I know someone who worked a number on the person they talked to and got the service for $50

I bought mine on Black Friday on sale at Radio Shack. Cost <$50. I pay $12 & some change monthly. I use mine alot. I have the home and car package.

well, i got one of the better radios so i dont know what the cheapest is but i pay $12.99 a month and i love it! it is so worth it!
