Yep, it's normal. I'm 36 weeks along as well, and my doctor hasn't given me a pelvic since my initial appointment. The only reason to give a full pelvic is to verify how far along you are, check for and treat health problems, and check for dilation very near to your due date. Since you're due in two weeks, you most likely are scheduled for another appointment next week, which is when your OB/GYN should give your another full pelvic to check your progress.

Often, in a very healthy pregnancy, your physician won't want to prod you any more than is absolutely necessary. There is no need, and if you're healthy it can do more harm than good.

Good luck, honey! It's an exciting time, isn't it? I wish you and your little one all the happiness and blessings in the world!

Maybe you should ask your Dr why you haven't had a pelvic in so long. I got a pelvic everytime I went from 36-40 weeks along. It does should a little odd to me.

I'm 37 weeks and haven't had a pelvic since my first exam. It was the same with my first. It's not really necessary if everything is going well. If you want your cervix to be checked for some reason just tell the doctor and I'm sure they will do it.

My dr doesnt even give exams untill you are 36 weeks then every week there after. I would expect they would do it again soon if you are that close to delvery. And if you are due in 2 weeks you are 38 weeks preg. Ask next time you go to the dr they will tell you why or why not they will do one.

I had a pelvic exam done during my first trimester and then did not have another until my 39th week. My doctor said that it wasn't necessary to check at every visit (which, quite frankly I didn't mind).

You need to ask your doctor what is going on. If he can't give you a straight answer then go to a different doctor (as painful and annoying as that can be). But it might just be something simple.

Thats normal. I was told by my doc OBGYN that he would give me one at 36wks.. but I went into labor at 35wks and 6days.. so I never did... before that I think I went several months also.
